KPU memberikan kelonggaran kepada Paniai-Simeulue untuk memilih setelah batas waktu yang ditentukan
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) RI memberikan kelonggaran kepada Paniai, Papua Tengah, dan Simeulue, Aceh untuk menyelenggarakan pemungutan suara lanjutan (PSS) melebihi batas waktu yang ditentukan.Pasal 373 UU Ayat (3) UU Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemilu menyebutkan pemungutan suara ulang di TPS dilakukan paling lambat 10 hari setelah hari pemungutan suara berdasarkan keputusan KPU Kabupaten/Kota.
Batas waktu 10 hari setelah hari pemungutan suara. Namun ada beberapa daerah yang mengalami lex specialis, akibat keterlambatan angkutan logistik, kata Anggota KPU RI Idham Holik saat konferensi pers di Kantor KPU RI, Jakarta, Jumat.
Diketahui pemungutan suara atau pemungutan suara Pemilu 2024 akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 Februari 2024, sehingga batas waktu pemungutan suara ulang Pemilu 2024 adalah tanggal 24 Februari 2024 atau 10 hari setelah pemungutan suara serentak.
Idham menjelaskan, perlakuan khusus hanya diberikan pada wilayah yang berbeda secara geografis. Misalnya saja logistik 92 TPS di Paniai yang akan menampung PSS baru diterbangkan ke Papua Tengah, Jumat (23/2) pagi.
Kita tahu, penerbangan ke Papua Tengah harus transit di Jayapura, baru terbang. Lalu, masih ada kegiatan penyortiran (kertas suara). Ini butuh waktu, katanya.
Hal serupa juga terjadi pada pemungutan suara lanjutan di Simeulue, Aceh. Idham mengatakan, saat ini logistik PSS di wilayah tersebut masih berada di Banda Aceh.
Diketahui, untuk mencapai Simeulue dibutuhkan pelayaran minimal 12 jam. Oleh karena itu, PSS di Simeulue kemungkinan besar akan digelar pada 25 Februari 2024.
