Jakarta (ANTARA) – Anggota Komisi II DPR RI Guspardi Gaus mengapresiasi Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) yang telah menetapkan daftar calon tetap (DCT) calon legislatif (caleg) mulai dari DPRD kabupaten/kota, provinsi, hingga DPR RI dan DPD RI.Ya, kami memberikan apresiasi kepada KPU yang telah bekerja maksimal, dimana seluruh proses hingga penetapan DCT telah berjalan sesuai waktu yang ditentukan, kata Guspardi dalam keterangan yang diterima di Jakarta, Senin.
Namun, ia berharap penyelenggara pemilu bisa menata dan membuat program agar perhatian masyarakat terhadap pemilu legislatif dan pemilu presiden bisa seimbang.
“Saya usulkan KPU membuat beberapa program yang dapat menampilkan dan menarik perhatian masyarakat terhadap kontestasi antar partai dan antar calon legislatif dalam pemilu legislatif. Agar masyarakat juga mengetahui bahwa selain pemilu presiden, ada juga pemilu legislatif yang bersifat pemilu. berjalan secara bersamaan,” katanya.
Sebab, kata dia, perhatian masyarakat terkesan lebih tertuju pada pemilu presiden dibandingkan pemilu legislatif.
